July/August 2009: StarStruck Theatre put on CATS at Ohlone College for three weeks. I had a blast working on costumes: my assignment was to design and create about 50 sets of arm and leg warmers (yes, 200 pieces). All different! Let's just say there was a lot of yarn around my house from March to July.

It was great fun to check in backstage every night starting at 5pm, as the kids were putting on make-up and costumes. Most nightly repair jobs were small, but everything had to look just right! I also got to help out with ushering and raffle ticket sales. And as a bonus, I've had the chance to memorize the entire soundtrack after sitting through so many rehearsals and performances!
